The definitive investor showcase of the most scalable Edmonton startups! The goal is to highlight Edmonton region’s thriving innovation economy at a global stage, and raise $100 million in capital for region’s startups.

These are Edmonton based startups with the following characteristics:

  1. Canada-made innovation with high potential for global commercialization and export

  2. Positive impact on the world towards environment, food security, health outcomes etc.

  3. High potential for advancing and strengthening the local economy

Scale Up Canada’s mission is to establish and enhance Canada as a source of world class innovation, and help accelerate success for high potential Canadian startups by providing them access and intros to investors and strategic customers at a global scale.

The initiative is sector and stage agnostic, and the application is open to all startups and scaleups based in the region. Whether you are a TRL 3/4 startup with cool tech, or a scaleup with millions in revenue, you are welcome to apply. You are qualified to apply even if you have been on the list previously. There is no cost. The region for Edmonton50 is defined as the Edmonton Metropolitan Region - also referred to as Greater Edmonton or Metro Edmonton.
