These are Montreal based startups with the following characteristics:

  1. Canada-made innovation with high potential for global commercialization and export

  2. Positive impact on the world towards environment, food security, health outcomes etc.

  3. High potential for advancing and strengthening the local economy

Scale Up Canada’s mission is to establish and enhance Canada as a source of world class innovation, and help accelerate success for high potential Canadian startups by providing them access and intros to investors and strategic customers at a global scale.

The initiative is sector and stage agnostic, and the application is open to all startups and scaleups based in the region. Whether you are a TRL 3/4 startup with cool tech, or a scaleup with millions in revenue, you are welcome to apply. You are qualified to apply even if you have been on the list previously. There is no cost. The region for Montreal50 is defined as the Greater Montreal Area - Cities of Montreal, Laval, Longueuil, plus surrounding regional municipalities.
